Our story
A name this land has always carried
Othayoth is an old tharavad name, the kind Malabar families have given their ancestral homes for generations. It belonged to the house that stood on this land long before the villa did. When we rebuilt, we kept the name. It felt right to carry forward what was already here, rather than reach for something new.
We built it with local hands and local materials. Teak and cane, warm stone underfoot, tiled roofs that sing in the monsoon, and brass that catches the evening lamps. Nothing loud, nothing that asks for attention.
The result is a villa that feels like a private Kerala home, not a hotel. Somewhere to arrive, exhale, and stay a while.

Othayoth is never shared. When you book, the entire home, garden and pool belong to your group alone. The property is gated and screened by planting, so the pool deck and veranda stay completely private.
